- Any person who wishes to have the services of Police Officers for extra duty should comply with the following;
a.) Proceed to the nearest Divisional Headquarters where the extra duty is to be performed for administrative procedures.
b.) Produce relevant documents to Revenue Clerk depending on the nature of the extra duty – for e.g.,

- Wedding – copy of wedding card;
- Casting of Slabs – copy of receipt re: Payment of fees from relevant construction company;
- Musical Concerts/ Events –
- Certificate of Incorporation/ Registration;
- Business Registration Card (BRN);
- Clearance from Mauritius Society of Author (MASA);
- Clearance from Ministry of Health and Wellness ‘Environmental Health Engineering Unit’;
- Clearance from Municipal/ District council (occasional licence for Public Entertainment/ approval letter in case of Road closure or Traffic diversion);
- Clearance from Beach Authority (in case event is to be organised on Public Beach);
- Clearance from Tourism Authority (in case event is to be organised in hotels/ restaurants or by a person holder of a Tourism Enterprise Licence);
- Letter of notification and approval from Commissioner of Police;
- Written permission from owner of the place/ building where the event will be held;
- Clearance from Ministry of Health and Wellness (in case of sale of food);
- Clearance from Mauritius Fire and Rescue Services;
- Recognised medical institution/ first aiders to provide assistance to casualty;
- Insurance Policy;
- Copy of licence of Private Security Service Provider (in case services of Private Security Guards have been retained);
- Road Racing (cyclist/ motorcycle, motorcars) – Clearance from Road Development Authority/ Traffic Management and Road Safety Unit, Police report re: Site visit, services of Towing Unit, Ambulance & Mauritius Fire and Rescue Services;
- Road Works – Framework agreement for maintenance and minor works
- Escort of heavy/oversized motor vehicles/ vessels** – Copy of Itinerary, copy of insurance policy of the vehicle being escorted/towed, proof of ownership of the vehicles/vessels;
- Private Religious Ceremony – Written permission from owner of place unless applicant is the owner and rough site plan;

2. After verification of the above documents, applicant will be required to pay a prescribed fee as per the table below, an administrative fee of 10% and 15% VAT.
Note: Applicant should provide accurate information of the starting time of the event and duration thereof.
3. An additional fee of Rs 6/- per km will be charged for services at paragraph 1(b)6 – above marked as **.
4. After payment of the prescribed fee, Revenue Clerks will issue the applicant with an original receipt (ABF9A) and the duplicate is forwarded to Manager Financial Operation.
5. Revenue Clerks will detail the required number of Police Officers requested by applicant for the performance of the extra duty.
