Seizure of “Heroin” by ADSU Airport

On 08 September 2015, Customs Officer together with ADSU airport and a representative of TNT was examining parcels arriving on board flight from South Africa at Air Warehouse, Plaine Magnien. While examining a carton box sent by a South African national, addressed to an habitant of Quatre Bornes, same was found to contain a microwave oven, colour metallic grey
Upon unscrewing the cover of the microwave, the officers found and secured a rectangular parcel, enclosed in transparent plastic on one side, and the other side with black plastic, on the top a smaller rectangular parcel wrapped with brown cello tape. Both parcels were opened by the Customs and found to contain a subsequent amount of off white powder, suspected to be “Heroin”
Value of suspected Rs 16,500,000/-
